When we open Certain sites ofcourse there are a lot of advertisements but there are some infections as well that effect your browser, they change the homepage of your browser. Due to which whenever you open INTERNETEXPLORER a site open automatically. If this is the case then this infection is called "Browser Homepage Hijack" or simply you can call it SpyWare.
