    3. Arcade Systems

1.MAME4ALL PSP (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator)

    Introduction
MMAE4ALL PSP is a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator port on the PSP which has been developed by "Kech". This one is quite good emulator but not a semi-perfect one, though loads of ROMS are playable in it.

    Installation
You can download it from here:

    Check Download Links Code:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/205176195/MAME.7z

Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (MAME & MAME%) copy them to "ms0:\PSP\GAME150 folder if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
Finally get the ROMS and place them in "ROMS" folder which is inside the folder "MAME"(without %)
ROMS are available as multi-file ROM compressed in usually .zip format, do not uncompress anything, just place the .zip file there. If the ROM has other file extension than .zip and it didn't work, uncompress it and compress the uncompressed files back to .zip format and place it in ROMS folder.

    Usage
When you run the emulator you'll find the list of ROMS you placed in the ROMS folder, now scroll down to the desired ROM and press square/start button, now a menu will appear, here you can configure the settings for running the ROM. The thing that will really matter is the Video, change it to "HW scaled" for a full screen game play. Now again press square/start to start the game.
Now in the game, you can't do anything it will keep saying "Insert Coin", grab your wallet and put 25 Cent coin in the UMD slot , LOL just kidding , actually press Select button and a virtual coin will be inserted, and then you can enjoy your games.

Note: I’ve Put the ROM Meteor in the roms folder.

    2.MVSPSP(NEO-GEO Emulator)

    Introduction
MVSPSP is a NEO-GEO(Console and Arcade) emulator for the PSP programmed by a Japanese coder named "NJ", here is the official website http://nj-emu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/. This is the best emulator which runs at almost full speed with most games. Click here for compatibility.

    Installation
You can download it from here

    Check Download Links Code:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/205178676/NeoGeo.7z

Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (NeoGeo & NeoGeo%) copy them to "ms0:\PSP\GAME150 folder if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    --ROMS Preparing--
Download the ROM you want, and make sure it’s in .zip format otherwise it won't work. You should also download the ROM from the MAME ROMs section, because if you downloaded them from NEO-GEO ROMs section they won't work or they won't work properly. So when you are searching for NEO-GEO ROMs, search for MAME ROMs and download them.
Make sure the filename is the same as the "ROM set" name mentioned in the compatibility list
Now download the ROM converter here.
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?21miwxm2qxg
Unzip that file, now run "mvsconv.bat" to convert single ROM, or "mvsconv_all.bat" to convert multiple ROMS in one directory.
When the conversion is finished, a folder named "cache" will be created in the same directory. Open that folder and copy everything there and place it in the "cache" folder inside the folder NeoGeo (without %).
Now copy the ROM(s) into the "roms" folder inside the folder NeoGeo (without %).

    Usage
When you run the emulator you'll find the list of ROMS you placed in the roms folder. Before doing anything press Start and choose the BIOS, the BIOS with MVS word next to it is for Arcade emulation and the BIOS with AES word next to it is for Console Emulation.
Note: To exit the emulator from this menu press /\ and then O.
Now scroll down to the desired ROM and press O button twice and wait for the game to load.
If u choose AES(console emulation) play normally, but if MVS(arcade emulation) you need to press Select to insert virtual coin(s).
While you are playing the game press HOME to pop up the options menu.(The home button will also pause the game, as the start won't work for pausing)
In the Game Configuration menu, you can change the emulation/machine mode to Arcade or Console(Some BIOS's force its default emulation mode even if you changed the mode). You can also change the "Stretch Screen" to "480x270 (16:9)" for a full screen game play. There are also some other options but i don't recommend you to change them if you don't know what they do.
In the Key configuration menu you can remap the keys as you like, or activate/map auto fire and stuff related to Joy pad/Joystick. Also you can set a button which is not mapped to the game play buttons to the "Save Screenshot", so you can take screenshots of your games. Screenshots taken can be found afterwards in the "snap" folder which is inside the folder NeoGeo (without %).
The "Show command list" option lets you view the commands from a command.dat file. You can download one here, unzip that and place the "command.dat" file inside the folder NeoGeo (without %).
DIP switch setting menu is something you don't want to change in it unless you know what you are doing.
Other stuff in the options menu is obvious I guess.

You can switch to the Save/Load state menu by pressing R button in the options/main menu.

NOTE: You can set the BIOS of the emulator by pressing a combination of R+L+Select, you can do some configurations related to difficulty, coins and other stuff. Don't screw with these unless you know what to do.

    --Ad-Hoc Multiplayer--
    1. Switch the WiFi button ON.
    2. When you are selecting the game to run, press square [] and then O to load the rom on both PSPs.
    3. Now it'll ask you to select the BIOS file, select the same BIOS in both PSPs.
    4. Now after doing the above steps on both PSPs, a screen will appear asking you to select a server, press O in the PSP you want to be the 2nd player.
    5. Now the other PSP will ask you to press O to accept the connection, do it and enjoy.
    6. Do not forget to put coins, i.e. press select.
    7. To pause, press the Home button, the regular configuration menu won't appear, just a small one asking you to either disconnect or resume playing.
Note1: Some people says that some games might lag in the adhoc version of the emulator(which i gave the download for earlier), so if u had some lags download the regular version http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/neogeo_psp.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?4d43kjrx0tz
Note2: Bootleg/Hack games need the bootleg version of the emulator http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/neogeo_psp_bl.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?6xmubjgxdwu
The instructions for installing these 2 emulators is same as the previous one.

Note: I’ve put the ROM Meteor in the roms folder but you can try the game and see if it works but if not you'll have to use the converter.
