    Default MS EXCEL, Number Format

    Salam Alikum,

I want to format a long number (eg: 123456789) so the result must be
    like: 12,34,56,789.
While applying Custom-Format, the result is always appearing like: 123,456,789
I have unchecked the thousand-separator in NUMBER tab but result is the same. I am using excel 2007.
Please guide me to solve this issue.
    Thanks
