If you have not already, install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. It should have been bundled with your phone on a CD, but if you have misplaced the CD you can download it directly from the BlackBerry website (see Resources).

Connect your phone to your computer, using a standard-sized mini-USB cord. The Desktop manager should launch automatically.

Click on the "Backup and Restore" tab in the BlackBerry Desktop management software. Then click on the "Advanced options."

Click on the contact list, and then select the backup option. The contact list has now been copied to your computer's hard drive and can be stored or transferred to another BlackBerry device.
