Sound problem in Laptop

guys meray pass compaq presario v5000 laptop ha. aur mene abi is mein win 7 install ki ha prolem yeh ha k sound nahi araha aur volume control walay icon per X ka symbol ha. Plz meri help karein m waiting 4 ur urgent reponse

1.Click Start, then click on Run or Start Search.
2.Type msinfo32.exe and then press Enter key.
3.In “System Information”, review the value for the System Type item:
For 32-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x86-based PC.
For 64-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x64-based PC.

There are several model numbers in the v5000 series of notebooks.



Here is the link to the Windows Vista 32 bit driver. Windows Vista drivers normally work on Windows 7 of there are no Windows 7 drivers available. There are two drivers so you may have to try them both.

•If you don't see "x64 Edition" listed, then you're running the 32-bit version of Windows
•If "x64 Edition" is listed under System, you're running the 64-bit version of Windows
