LINUX aik open source operating system hai.....jes may apko executable form k saat softwares ka source code b mil sakta hai our osay aap free distribute kar saktay hai.... Linux ko distribute karnay walay bohot sari companies hai .... jesay
    Redhat
    Debian
    Suse
    ubuntu
    fedora wagaira..........

open source ka ye matlab nahee k wo free of cost ho.....jaisay redhat pehlay free of cost tha jo k ab nahee..... Redhat enterprise edition k charges hotay jab k redhat walay he Fedora ko backup mean support kartay hai our free fedora distribute kartay hai.....

ab apko faisla karna hai k konsa aapk liye best hai.....agar desktop per use karna hai tu fedora ya ubuntu best rahe ga.....enki site say aap free download kare ...cd p burn kary our install karein.

Dunya may servers , superservers our isps may majority UNix,Linux operating system ki hoti hai jab k
users k liye desktop edition may microsoft k saani naee wo abi tak dunya k 90 to 95% desktop edition k baadshaha hai........

meray khayal may itna kaafi rahega.......baaki kisi our time pe.......wasalam sikandar

buhat kam log hain jo linux is liye chalate hain kyun k yeh viruses se protected hai. lekin yeh soch kar sirf wahi log chalate hain. jinka buhat sensitive kaam hota. rahi baat k buhat kam log kyun chalate hain toh woh isliye k yeh windows se bilkul mukhtalif hai. is main windows k softwares, games nahin chal sakte. wine ya crossover k through aap chala sakte hain lekin phir bhi sirf wohi software he chalte hain jinhe crossover ya wine identify kar pata hai.

depends if they are supported by wine or cross over. anyhow you may read the list on the site below to see which applications are supported by these open sources. find your match and if they exist, continue with your installation.

    Code:
    http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/
    Code:
    http://appdb.winehq.org/
I've quoted to explain usage of windows applications on linux.
