Core2duo 2ghz
2 gb ram
320 gb hdd

Bro 1st to ap ko yeh pta hna chahye there is nothing like 1 gb or 2gb in low end cards. Shopkeeper bewakuf bnate hain bhai yeh 2 gb hai yeh zyada acha hai. halanke dosri bht si cheezain hotin hain jo effect krti hain performance ko. Dont listen this crap
In your budget if you want new
1) Nividia Gt 440 - price 5600
2)Nividia Gt 430 - price 5400

I will advice to go for gt 440. if you want in ati. there is also plenty of options but remember no need to buy these 2gb or 4gb versions.
