Ye ek operating system hai. Jesa ke nam se zahir hai ye server ke liye hai. Aap ke network mein ek computer server ka kam kerta hai, ye uss ke liye hai. Iss mein bohot saray security features hain, aap users ki access control kerte hain. Resources waghera bhi control hote hain. Server ke beghair network "workgroup" kehlata hai, aur iss mein 10 se ziyada computer nahi ho sakte. Windows 2000 Server 3 qism ka hai.

1. Windows 2000 Server
Yeh 1 se 16 tuk CPU ko support kerta hai. Yani aesa server jis mein ek motherboard per 16 tak CPU hun.

2. Windows 2000 Advanced Server
Yeh 17 se 32 CPU ko support kerta hai.

3. Windows 2000 Data Centre
Yeh 33 se 64 CPU ko supoort kerta hai.

Ye bohot wasee topic hai. Iss seekh ker log MSCE (Microsoft Certified Engineer) kehlate hain.

Aam istemal ke liye Windows 2000 Professional ya Windows XP Professional/Home zabardast hai.
