Bios security chip is new for me

This is the method from IBM
    WARNING

But do it on your own RISK

    WARNING

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"

It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
Go to BIOS and set all settings to default

    switch off and
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.
at all times do not power on the laptop when the main board is open

I am sure your problem can be solved by above procedure if done correctly but you can also damage your main board if you do it wrong and do a mistake with jumpers. so Use it at your own risk. I do not take responsibility of your actions.

    If that does not help
You can also try ON your own RISK!!!!

    BIOS update CD
Download iso from here and burn it as an image on a CD. ( Check google on how to burn an iso on CD)

    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-64578

boot from CD and try to update your BIOS.

If you still need it that chip . it is available from ebay USA

    http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-lenovo-Think...24162003r19769

Try contacting seller and see if he can ship it to Pakistan

    Also go to

IBM.com and try contacting support. they might be able to help without any additional chip
