Unable to open any file..plz help

Asalam-O-alaikum

For some reason when I try to open any file even my web bower on my computer ,a window pops up Open With that says, choose the program you want to use to open this file...... I select firefox from the list and press OK then it opens fireforx.
When I tried to open my webcam same window pop up ,so I am unable to open many file at my PC directly......
Plz help... how to resolve this problem ?
