Yes! You have really shared a very good thread! Actually, I would like to add up that at that time GUI (Graphical User Interface) was not announced. I think that research was in progress. At that time, people used to work in DOS (Disk Operating System). They used to store only information that was text to get use of that later. The storage medium was floppy disk, typically. After the announcement of GUI in Microsoft Windows, a new era of Operating Systems started though Microsoft was not first to introduce GUI, I think it was Macintosh. I can' recall properly. Well, DOS don't have much popularity than the GUI has but remember! you will need it. So stick to it and learn it. It will do a great deal of favor. Good Luck.
