To Install Equation Editor in Microsoft Office 2003, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
In the Currently installed programs list, click Microsoft Office version 2003, and then click Change.
Click Add or Remove Features, and then click Next.
Click to select the Choose advanced customization of applications check box, and then click Next.
In the Advanced Customization pane, expand Office Tools.
Click the arrow next to Equation Editor.
Click Run all from My Computer.
Click Update.
now open ms word
go to insert object
from the object type: select Microsoft equation editor
check display icon
