mujh se msword ki file replace ho gayi hai. purani file ki jaga nayi file ne layli hai. mujhe purani file wapas lani hai. kis tarah la sakte hai. plz jald se jald koi tarika bata dein. meri file buhat important hai.

Try "File > Versions" on Microsoft Word, with the document open. This will look for any previous versions. If you didn't know of this feature, it is unlikely one will be there, but it is worth a try anyway. (In the future, use this feature! It is meant to prevent things like this)

Alternatively, you could find the file in Windows Explorer, right click it and select "properties". On the Window that appears, click the rightmost tab, called something like "revisions". This allows you to revert to a previously saved version. I think Windows Vista has this feature by default - in XP, you will have it if you have Norton SystemWorks installed.

from my knowledge once again the last way is

Step by step:

You can use special recovery software that you can download on the internet as i given the links above of few softwares....

You can open your "temp" folder and search through the files that match the date and time when you worked on your document. If you do not find the folder (sometimes it is hidden), you can as well search your computer for files with the ending ".tmp"

If there is no possibility to restore the document with the given advice and it was a very important file, you can still give your hard disk to a company that is specialised on resorting lost data. This is usually the last option, since it is very expensive.

To prevent this in the future it is very useful to use the Word feature to save different versions of your document every time you work on it.

This can easily be done by selecting "File", then "Versions" and activate "Automatically save version on close".

If you then want to open an older version of your document or when you have accidentally deleted or overwritten it, you can restore the latest version by selecting one of the versions Word has saved for you.
