Iphone 3gs upgrade help needed

i have iphone 3gs ios 4.1 , jail breaked unlocked etc with cydia installed etc. etc. now i want to upgrade my ios 4.1 to 5.1 , kya karu , net par jitnay bhi tareeqay bataye hoye hy sab fail ho rhy hy,
1. direct update karta hu to error dy deta hy and set hangs says itunes needed. pir recovery fix kia.
2. dfu mode may gya waha sy install karny ki koshish karta hu tiny umbrella bhi use redsnow sy bhi kiya par phir b error deta hy itunes sy.
3. recovery mode may bhi yehi hal hy waha bhi error dy deta hy.
4. mery phone ki option may update ka koi option nhi hy .so waha sy nhi ho rha hy.

mjy koi aisa hal bataye k itunes k bagair aur ksi error k bagair is ka software update ho jye , purana katam hota hy to ho jye, new a jye ga. baki may jail break wagairh and unlock wagairah khud kar lu ga. mjy masla hy to abhi is bat ka hy k system update nhi ho rha hy..

im using windows xp ...different errors atay hy , kbi 3192 error ata hy aur kabi 11 error ata hy, tinyumbrella use karu to 3192 ka error ata hy and agar phone recovery mode may karta hu tinyumbrella ko chala kar to error 11 deta hy phir.
