You can buy 12 vdc 7Ah battery for Rs. 1200 and and adaptor giving 12vdc 1A (not regulated) for charging the battery. Hook up battery output via 1N4001 diode + 10 ohms 1W in series to get output for your wifi modem. I have been using this way as UPS for modem and gives good service for more than 6 hours without main power supply. Please keep your charger connected to 12 vdc battery for continuous service.
