If after altering the partitions Windows 7 data/files are still there but Windows won't boot the following may help:
Try Repairing The Windows 7 Installation
1. Insert the Windows 7 DVD and restart your computer
2. Boot from the DVD.
3. Choose your language and click Next.
4. Click Repair Your Computer and then select the operating system you want to repair.
5. Click on the Startup Repair link from list of recovery tools in System Recovery Options.
If that doesn't fix it:
1. Insert the Windows 7 DVD and restart your computer
2. Boot from the DVD. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
3. Choose your language and click Next.
4. Click Repair Your Computer and then select the operating system you want to repair.
5. Select Command Prompt and try the following commands (a single command might work, or you may need to use multiple commands depending on the exact problem):
bootrec /fixMBR
bootrec /fixBoot
bootrec /rebuildBCD
Note: there is a space before the /
ya phir ye try karen without any program
Whta i will sugest is that,
1) find out the folder of bigger size. from c drive. and backup it anyhow. then remove it's contents (not folder it self) from c.
2) Shrink the partion you have space in by the desired amount within allowed range.
3)Create new Volume from unallocated space, and instead of assigning it a drive letter, mount it on the empty folderon c drive.
5) Resore the backup to the same folder on c-drive (this will actually fill space in new drive not c drive now !)
enjoy!
or try this
Windows 7 and Vista include a built-in functionality in Disk Management to shrink and expand partitions. No more 3rd party utilities needed!
To get to this utility, open up Control Panel, and type in partition into the search box.. you’ll immediately see the link show up:
Shrink a Partition
In the Disk Management screen, just right-click on the partition that you want to shrink, and select “Shrink Volume” from the menu.
In the Shrink dialog, you will want to enter the amount you want to shrink by, not the new size. For example, if you want to shrink your 50gb partition by roughly 10gb so that it will now be roughly 40gb, enter 10000 into the box:
Extend a Partition
In the Disk Management screen, just right-click on the partition that you want to shrink, and select “Extend Volume” from the menu.
On this screen, you can specify the amount that you want to increase the partition by. In this case, I’m going to extend it back to the roughly 50GB size that it was before.
Note that the extend partition feature only works with contiguous space.
