HELP with N70 message alert/sms-tone

Hi,

I've no idea what have happened to my phone. I don't seem to receive a display alert (for eg 'you have 1 message') on my screen when there is a new sms, it doesn't even sound.

Anyone knows how to deal with this problem? It's really frustrating as I've to enter my inbox every few mins to check for new sms-es...

PS: it's not in a silent mode, I've check the settings and everything is the way it is before so why the sudden change now? Plus, when someone calls, the ringtone is perfectly fine, but there is no sms-tone...

Better try enter *#7370# and Security Code to Reset; might this is a cheap solution!
