Access is ideal for managing business contacts, tracking customer orders, organizing staff jobs, managing tasks and maintaining product inventories.
Summary:
1.Excel is a spreadsheet application while Access is an RDBMS
2.Excel is usually used for paperwork while Access is used in storing information that can be accessed by a lot of people
3.Access locks data at the record level while Excel locks the entire spreadsheet
4.Most users of excel do not really know any programming while you need that to take full advantage of Access
