Many people think that a stunning web site design is all that is needed for your web site to be successful - Fact is, they couldn't be any further from the truth.
If a web site is bad, visitors won't certainly come back and when I say bad we are not talking about the website design. The reason you are reading this very line now is because it's more than likely you found advertETS.com through a search engine and almost certainly in a prominent position. But what's just as important is the fact that you are reading information that pacifically interests you or you have asked for at a search engine and that is the key.
We could have designed this web site giving it a stunning appearance with all types of fancy interactions etc to show off our skills but we opted for a stylish simple design making the website easy to navigate, clear and more importantly to rank well in major search engines. There is nothing worse than a tacky or cheap web site design that is difficult to browse or a flash website that takes forever to download. If a web site takes too long to download or for your visitors to find anything because it's too fancy then expect your web site visitors to go elsewhere.
How many times have you gone to a restaurant and experienced bad food or bad service and never returned? Or how many times have you been attracted to a restaurant because of it's decor only to find it's food and level of service is very poor? I would guess and say a lot. OK, so we're talking about a different industry but I think you get the point. That is one of the biggest mistakes people make when thinking about their web site design - Running a business on the World Wide Web is the same as running a business anywhere.
The very key to your web sites success is content - using relevant written content integrated within your web site design about the products or services that you advertise or sell via your web site. If you sell apartments in Spain and you have no written information clearly detailing this then expect your web site to appear well below the first two pages on various search engines and your competitors to find what they are looking for on your competitors web site.
Your website must have content that is relevant to the interests of those who are searching through your web pages. That's how your web site will differentiate from so many other sites out there now that are clogged with irrelevant content or have been poorly designed by another website design company.
