use of led tv with labtop

I have ecostar 40 inch LED tv and Toshiba labtop how can I use this as computer

Monitor distance between labtop and led is about 22 feet .

Now I am using local cable conation and startrack 2020 hd pluse

For sharing I want to use big screen I have ptcl dsl connection

Please help with lot of thanks
