Default 2 internet connections in xp?

    Hey guys

question is, is it possible to use 2 internet connections in windows xp at a time?
I have a dsl connection by ptcl and just got another connection from wateen.
Can I use both connections at a time by connecting 2 nics with my pc? will it boost the total internet speed?
if yes then what will be the complete process for this?

As far as I know, this is called Multilinking and it is use to work through single isp and managed at isp end. But I am not sure if multilinking will work with 2 different isps..
Dialup ISPs use to offer multilinking with 2 phone lines for speed...

If any one share any kind of information then it will be much appreciated...

    Cheerz

Multilink or multilinking internet soruce sirf Dial-up modems aur ISDN digital modems par chalta hai magar DSL (over ethernet) par naheen.

Normally yeh sirf aik hi ISP ki multi source par sahee kam karta hai, do mukhtalif ISP par default gateway ka masla aajayega is tarah wirf wohi internet application is ko support karay gi jo aik waqt main aik say ziada source ya Gateway ko handle karsakti ho.

    humm thanks.
actually my pc is connected with dsl modem, and there is dhcp running in dsl modem, and when pc ip is a local ips which is assigned by modem, with default gateway 192.168.1.1
Wateen is already running dhcp in there network and assigning local ips 192.168.1.* to their clients..when we use auto ip in pc, it assign same gateway 192.168.1.1 to client;'s pc..

So if I will combine both connection, they both will be using same gateway..isn it?

It may work, give it a try. actually when two connections are bridged it will confuse the third bridged connection that from which DHCP source it should get an IP, but it may work too so try your luck.

Bhai aap cisco routor use kersakte hain us main do different isp ko combine kerne ki facility mujod hai. baz dosri companiyoon ke router aa rahay hain un main bhi yah facility mujood hai.
ager aap multi linking ka soch rahey hain to yahi ek tareeka hai meri nazar main. ek aor baat aap do different isp ek pc main direct nahi laga saktey isi liye cisco waloon ne yah router nikala hai to combine two different or similar isp.

    which router is it?
    model number?
    price?
If it is really a router then it must be very costly..CISCO's CHEAPEST ROUTER cost is more then the cost of a house in pakistan...

It is not as costly as you thinking. I can not tell any thing about price because I am not in Pakistan. I am just giving one example but you can also find out more router. other companies are also making similar kind of router. their cost is cheaper then cisco router.

Name = Cisco IOS® router (you can also check out this link for prove. and be remember to read first line of "Introduction" pragraph.)

    Salam
    you86

Bohat zabardast batain hoti rahi hain, main kuch mazeed roshni daal doon.
jo kaam ap karna chah rahay hain usay hum load balancing kahtay hain,
load balancing 2 tarha ki hoti hai aik inbound or dosra outbound, ap ko OutBound load balancer ki zaroorat hai.
(bridge se hum thora different kisam ka kaam laitay hain)
ye kaam ap hardware se b kr saktay hain jiss ki price ap k samnay hai,
or ap ye kaam software se b kr saktay hain,
linux waghaira main to ye kaam aram se ho jata hia, but window main software lazmi chahyea hota hai,
mujhay kisi achay load balancing software ka idea nahi hai, but "KERIO" aik firewall hai, or is k andar load balancing ka module b hai, usay use kr k daikhain,
or jo ap ka Default gateway ka masla hai us ka b hall hai,
ap just PTCL k router/Modem main lan configuration main us ka ip change kr dain 192.168.1.1 ki jagha per kuch or rukh dain like 192.168.0.1
abh ap k dono default gateway b mukhtalif ho jain gain,
umeed hai kuch na kuch zaroor samajh aa gai ho gi.
