    Default word docs problem

    Assalam o Alaikum Friends .........................
    hope u everyone of u is fine!. i have a problem. that when i open any word file in ms office word 2003 in win xp then a file conversion menu opens. then i dont know wat to do?
    then if i select any encoding it shows some unreadable text.
