Bhai first you have to install or promote the Domain controller in your windows server 2003,
1- go to the run > then type "dcpromo"
2- then follow the steps inbetween you have to give the name of domain
if you need further help for this plz ask me how to promote

then if you have large capasity of pc means nodes you can assign dhcp server
otherwise you can assign the manuall configuration of ip address
like you have to put ip address on every machine or node
if you server ip address is : 192.168.1.10 the you have to put your client ip address like 192.168.1.X

before this you have to create users on the server in active directory users

then you have to configure your xp (node)machines with ip address and network settings
1-you have to put them on the domain means your server
    > go to the my computer porperties then select computer name tab
    >then press on chainge button
    > put the domain name there and press ok
    > it will ask you for the user name and password
    > put the user name and password there , what you have given to the user
    > it displays the message wellcome to xyz domain and ask for the restart the pc
    dome!!!!!!
