    dil ne teray baray main poocha to bohat roya
    vo shaks jo pather tha, toota to bohat roya

    ye dil ke judai ke unwaan pe bersoon se
    chup tha to bohat chup tha, roya to bohat roya

    ik harf tasalli ka, ik lafz mohabbat ka
    khud apnay liye us ne likha to bohat roya

    pehlay bhi shikastoon per khai thi shikast us ne
    lekin vo teray hathon hara to bohat roya
